“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” - Ansel Adams

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, I was always drawn to explore creative paths as I grew up. I’ve always enjoyed art in various forms but there was a significant interest in photography. Though until about 5 years ago, it had only been a sporadic hobby. What happened? My oldest started high school and decided on becoming part of the marching band. We all want to capture every moment of our children’s lives, right? All the events, concerts, matches….all the joy, adversity, and accomplishments. With that desire, I decided cell phone pictures simply would not do….I needed to make sure the memories I was after would be of the highest quality I could produce. And that’s where it took off. I love the challenge of finding the best angles as I try to capture the best composition full of every emotion so that when we look back on these memories, it will evoke every emotion once again. Initially, I selfishly kept my camera trained on my kids, waiting for the perfect moment to press the shutter release. But being fortunate enough to have the access I did to these events, I felt a need to use the opportunity to capture as many performances, touchdowns, 100m sprints, etc. of each athlete or performer, because what if their parents couldn’t make it, or they want to be able to share these moments later with family and friends but just can’t ever seem to get a good shot? I find joy in sharing what my lens captures so that everyone can enjoy their memories for years to come.

This has evolved into forming relationships with clients and capturing family sessions, senior portraits and event coverage. I also enjoy volunteering occasionally at my church to help capture worship and the wonderful things God is accomplishing in our community.

I do hope that I can work with you in the near future to create and capture something truly special.
